i didn't want fang to discover bactine until now, but suddenly i am torn and wish she would heal zedwig. the best thing would be if conflicted parties on both sides prevented the battle from even happening - how can elves fight elves? it's not natural. the artifact, i guess? or the charisma of tyrannical leaders with bipolar disorders?

agree with nilstria, the hair was awesome before - i didn't think it was possible but it just got even better!

The problem is, it seems that the healers are drained in some way by healing Zedwig - that's why there are none left: all of them have been "used up".
Although of course, I wish she could heal him and all live happilly ever after, but I'm afraid at some point it will come down to a choice between the two.

Anyway, Colby never fails to amaze me, so I'm just waiting to see what happens next :)


I didn't conciously notice the change about the hair, but I did find myself thinking "Such nice hair... Silky... Beautiful... Must be very soft....I didn't notice it before..."

I find it kind of funny it's the hair everyone is noticing. It's an overall change, but I guess the hair is where the change is most noticeable.

I've been most impressed by the color of Zedwig's cheeks. And also Fang's.

Really lovely job on the coloring these last few pages.

Now, if only I could decide which one of these two needed a hug the most.

I love this comic, I must say yet again. Marvelous story that balances well between drama and comedy (Which is difficult to find!) For example, in the midst of all this drama, Fang pops off with "My kingdom for a healer." Yet he's been doing all this to get a bigger kingdom!

Oh, my... I'm almost certainly a Fang/Zedwig shipper now. For some reason, I find Zedwig's outfit very seductive- and, of course, Fang's all dressed up. I do love Fang's expression in the middle panel, though-- just very beautiful and natural and perfect.

So I was looking at your deviantart gallery last night and I decided I

just HAD to draw Zedwig. He looked like he was just too fun to draw.

Maybe it was because of the MEME. It made me laugh until I cried.

Bactine: "Can we make out again?"

I actually think that this superdetailed lineart doesn't look as good with your comic-style.... no offense meant of course! For some reason it makes the hair look less elegant. :\
It does look really good in panels 4 and 8 though! but in all the other panels it looks a little strange. Especially in panel 1. >_> *hides*
I love Zedwig more and more. He just keeps getting more awesome! *fangirls*
The backgrounds are excellent, and the faces and clothing and colors all look really good <3 ESPECIALLY the faces. I'd kill kitties to be able to draw facial expressions that well! <3 *studies, then goes off to practice harder*

I agree with you 100%! Glad it isn't just my imagination. I loathe the hair in panel 1.

I think the more detail is good for well... more detail and realism, but I also think it loses some fluidity and movement. Everyone seems a little stiffer, if that makes sense. Probably what I'm going to do is settle into somewhere in between.

That would be good. I'd settle for something like the amount of lines you used in panel 8, because that is PERFECT <3 (there aren't as many lines in panel 8 as on most of the page, but more than usual I think)
and I get what you mean about stiffer.

Now.... about the mind-link (I had to comment on it sooner or later!)..... it kind of makes me wonder whether Fang feels some pain when Zedwig is in agony. This would give yet another reason why Fang wants him healed as quickly as possible. (besides all the other reasons of course, and the fact that he is so very USEFUL) I get this odd hypothesis from what I have heard about twins, who seem to be the closest thing to a real-life mind-link. *sigh* Strange fans=strange ideas

When I read this page, something about the newer style was itching at the back of my mind, and I've finally placed it...do you ever read Level (webcomic) ? It's reminding me of that style. Maybe you two have a shared influence?
