I've finally remembered what Sangwine's name reminds me of! I knew resembled a real word since I started reading Lint, but I haven't been able to think of it until now. Colby, is Sangwine named for sanguine, which is having blood as the dominant humor, and thus being optimistic, cheery, passionate, etc?

You know what I've glimpsed several times in this chapter?

...Zedwig's clavicle.
We've already seen some elf abdomen, what's next? Sangwine pulling the legs of his trousers up to step over a puddle and giving us a view of his ankle? Or even--maybe this is too risqué to suggest--some patella d'Albert?

Maybe this is too family-friendly for that.
Just keep it in mind. ;-)

Camera angle, yeah. First the angle is from inside the room looking out, then switches to outside looking into the room.

Great page, but I do have one question. Did the viewing angle change between panels six and seven, or did Fang and Zedwig pull a switcheroo while we weren't looking? By the way, I love the little * mark over Fang's head in panel three when he decides that Zedwig is trying to kill him.

Wow...Chapter 13 is done; it had a lot in it, so much of Fang/Zedwig and Bactine/Al'bert, the whole 'War or Peace' of these odd relationships-not necessarily intimate, but in the worst of times, before the start of disaster, sometimes you've got to realize that there are those by your side even if you feel like you're alone. Of course, it's also the 'War or Peace' prelude to just before the battle-this took almost all of 2008, or at least half, but now Chapter 14-let's go on till 09!

I know this might be getting old, but I absolutely LOVE the last panel with Fang and Zedwig. They both need hugs in my opinion. It's also not only a contrast in lines, it's also in their personalities. It's so cool how fang's eyes look gold in the last panel too. Over all Love the page, the art work is amazing(as always) =)

I also like how Zedwig always calls him "Fangline" instead of Fang.

A wonderful, paradoxal scene, and so full of character too! Fang is paranoid because he thinks Sanguine will kill him, because that is what he would do. a traitor always thinks everyone is going to betray him. also, he is willing to let Zedwig die to save himself, so he thinks zedwig is the same way.

And I second the opinion that the second to last panal is beautiful in the contrast between Fang and Zedwig. Also, bravo on lighting up their faces with the light of the explosion but not including sound, which gives a sense of distance to it.

I love the last couple of panels with Fang and Zedwig, where Zedwig just looks resigned while Fang's all sharp edges.
I'd be paranoid too, if I were Fang, because I half expect Zedwig to do something crazy out of desperation.
