I imagine a gag page where we see Al'bert holding a hat in front of him as he makes Puss In Boot's kitty eyes up at all the guards. In fact I was mildly surprised and disappointed when that didn't happen.

Now, see, when you write it as 'Derf's Mother is Insulted', logically, my expectations were that Derf's mother would somehow hear the insult from miles away and come comically rushing through the streets to evoke punishment on anyone who dared slight her good name.
And then possibly chastise her son for not doing so himself.

I know this is redundant, but I am another who instantly recognized the scene and giggled. Very well done. And while I'm at it, very well done all over, I've just recently found the comic and am going through the archives. Enjoying the writing tremendously :) Even the classic love triangle is a step above the standard; the racial and social issues introduced does make it more interesting than if it were just foolish angstiness keeping lovers apart *grin*
